2. What We Collect and Why

When you contact us

If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message. We use this only to reply to you and deal with your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry, or taking steps at your request before an order (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).

When you place an order

If you order products from us, we use your name, contact details and delivery address to process, deliver and support your order, and we keep sales records as required by Irish tax law. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (c)).

When you visit the website

Our hosting provider automatically keeps server logs (IP address, browser type, date and time, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify visitors. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a secure website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not send newsletters or marketing emails.

3. Who Processes Your Data

We do not sell or share your personal data for marketing. We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:

• Hostinger – hosts this website and processes contact form submissions
• Zoho – provides our email service, where your messages are stored
• Delivery companies – only your name, address and phone number, when we ship an order to you

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, this is covered by safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. How Long We Keep It

• Enquiries: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than 2 years after our last contact with you
• Order and invoice records: 6 years, as required by Irish tax law
• Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email info@emeraldbeauty.ie. We will reply within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland: www.dataprotection.ie.

6. Children

This website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle personal data (for example, when we open an online shop), we will update this page and the date at the top.
